Declutter Your Life: Guest Speaker Peter James Wray

Peter has lived in Ottawa with his wife and three children for 34 years after being transplanted from Toronto to complete a Master of Social Work at Carleton University with specialization in social administration and policy. Following graduation from Carleton he held a variety of positions as an economist with the government of Canada. This work included policy analysis for the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security and a variety of children’s programs. He wound up his government career as manager of federal/provincial/territorial relations for the Canada Student Loans Program.

After leaving the government he paused for a few years before obtaining licensing to sell mutual fund securities and insurance. He now works in financial services where he can address his passion for assisting families in preparing for two of the most major financial events in their lives – post-secondary education and retirement.
