WORKSHOPS

Top Sixty facilitated workshops are focused on building the competencies of an entrepreneurial mindset. All workshops are based in research & best practice and use a design thinking approach to develop our content to ensure engagement and inspiration.

Functional Creativity

Many people believe that creativity is a talent, something you are born with rather than a skill that can be learned and refined. In this workshop, myths about what it means to be creative are dispelled and participants are given practical exercises that can be used to enhance lateral or divergent thinking. You’re never too old to get creative and never too young to expand your imagination.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Understand the role of culture and environment in encouraging or stifling creativity.
  • Develop a creative lens.
  • Use daily exercises to help stay creative and get inspired.
  • Brainstorm effectively as an individual or as a group.
  • Practice the use of visuals to support idea development.
  • Develop inspiration boards to brainstorm or to visualize a project.

 

Problem Solving, Building Better Solutions

Every problem is an opportunity for an innovative solution. In this workshop, participants will learn critical thinking skills that will allow them to assess, address and take action to solve problems. They will learn how to solve problems as a team or as an individual.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Evaluate problems and identify methods to resolve them.
  • Use collaborative approaches to address and resolve problems.
  • Assess individual strengths and the capacity to resolve problems.
  • Connect disparate ideas and reframe problems.
  • Analyze the feasibility and probable impact of potential solutions.

 

Team Building

Strong teams increase employee engagement and enhance innovation. Using a well-established behavior and thinking measurement tool, Emergenetics, individuals will gain a deeper understanding of themselves and how their actions affect others in the workplace. This workshop builds on the cognitive preferences of team members and shows them how to grow stronger together.

Participants in this workshop will learn how to:

  • Understand personal behavioural preferences and thinking styles.
  • Improve communication among team members.
  • Develop a collaborative culture.
  • Create a safe space that allows for risk taking.
  • Manage and resolve conflict.

Opportunity Spotting

By moving outside of your comfort zone, you can gain new perspective and insight. Opportunity spotting is often about finding new ways to solve existing problems or identifying a need that hasn’t yet been met. Experts can learn the value of seeing with a fresh set of eyes while beginners can learn the value of seeing more than just their perspective.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Focus on the immediate and present (mindful thinking).
  • Identify gaps in process, product or service.
  • Clearly articulate goals and objectives.
  • Value and seek new or alternative perspectives.
  • Connect and synthesize divergent ideas.
  • Evaluate the potential of an idea.

 

Better Decision Making

Whether business-focused or related to personal life, stay on track with clear objectives and priorities. Not being able to make decisions can create paralysis. Indecision can cost you your business, end relationships and make even the easiest of activities complex. Regardless of age, making better decisions is always valuable.

Participants in this workshop will learn how to:

  • Gather information and perspective.
  • Establish goals and identify priorities.
  • Determine who needs to be involved.
  • Discuss a variety of decision-making options.
  • Evaluate potential outcome

 

Self-Confidence Bootcamp

Self-doubt can affect everyone, regardless of age and experience. Strengthen your belief in personal power and manage self-doubt. Learn our tips and tricks for presenting the best you in person and online and how to remain strong in stressful situations.

Participants in this workshop will learn how to:

  • Boost self-esteem.
  • Strengthen personal narratives.
  • Understand the value of positive psychology.
  • Adopt a growth mindset.
  • Identify personal accomplishments.

 

ReSet

ReSet taps into the inner strengths of employees, helps them spot opportunities and move outside of existing paradigms. ReSet reframes perceptions by encouraging a growth mindset. We use best practices and a design thinking approach to ensure the user experience is informative and inspirational.

ReSet is a three-module learning program which can be delivered over three consecutive days or ideally in three days over a three-week period. ReSet breaks down misconceptions and unconscious biases that are built over years of conditioning. It contributes to more effective problem-solving, greater productivity and increased commitment. Its transformative value improves culture by emphasizing the importance of collaborative behaviour and by showing the value of diverse perspectives.
