Problem Solving-Building Solutions

Faced with constant change and ever-evolving technologies, enhancing our creativity allows us to manage change more effectively. Every problem is an opportunity for a creative solution. The greater the problem, the more opportunity there is for solutions. Through our problem-solving workshops you will learn:

Design Thinking 

Many of today’s personal and professional challenges involve solving complex or wicked problems. This methodology uses a human centric approach with an emphasis on empathy. It’s popularity is driven by the fact that is a highly successful approach.

Through our design thinking workshops you will learn how to :

  • Challenge assumptions
  • Understanding user issues
  • Build solutions with empathy


Creativity is central to entrepreneurial thinking and a requirement for a host of things from problem solving to opportuity enhancement. In this workshop participants are taught that everyone can learn how to be more creative. They will explore

  • Different ways to improve their creative skills
  • Daily exercises
  • How to develop a creative lens

Creativity - Brainstorming 

Core to the success of any initiative is finding ways of staying innovative. Our brainstorming services and tools are intended to provide participants with ways of staying open to ideas, possibilities and solutions. We can help you reach your customers, better engage your audiences or improve your emotional brand. We show our participants how they can: 

  • Develop and maintain a creative environment

ReSetting Old 

Modern society is youth-obsessed and frequently presents ageing as disengagement and decline. This course dismantles the framework of negativity that currently accompanies the contemporary narrative of ageing. Participants will discover:

  • Cultural and personal biases on ageing
  • The language that empowers older adults
  • How to overcome internalized ageism

Optimism & Gratitude

There is growing evidence of the success achieved by adopting an optimistic mindset. Our workshop teaches participants how to identify their personal paradigms and adopt optimism and its transformative power to turn challenges into opportunities. These workshops are based in current research and practice. Participants will explore:

  • The power of positivity
  • The pitfalls of a negative mindset
  • How to overcome negative habits
  • How to embrace an optimistic outlook

Coaching and Mentoring 

Transitioning to a new career path or lifestyle can be challenging. Through coaching and/or mentoring, individuals can identify their core strengths and learn new skills for managing in an evolving world. In addition to traditional methods, the Top 60 also uses a psychometric tool, Emergenetics, to explore thinking styles and behavioural preferences. Participants will learn to:

Communication Workshops

Personal Interview Strategies for the 50+   

Personal Interview Strategies for the 50+ is a digital toolkit for managing entrepreneurial and change of career interviews. From bank managers to investors, the older entrepreneur has to develop effective methods for showcasing their experience and strengths. This toolkit provides step-by-step advice on how to prepare and present your talents and strengths. 

Facilitation of Groups

Develop an Entrepreneurial Mindset with ReSet  - 12 - 18 hours  (2-3 days)

The focus of ReSet is to reduce ageism and increase the entrepreneurial mindset of participants. The Top Sixty Over Sixty’s definition of the entrepreneurial mindset encompasses intrapreneurship, social entrepreneurship, green entrepreneurship and digital entrepreneurship. Whether entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial, having a strong sense of self-agency is critical to effectively achieving objectives. The ReSet program is delivered in two ways, for individuals in a group setting and for organizational teams.

The efficacy of the ReSet program was evaluated in partnership with Ryerson University, the Ontario Centre for Workforce Innovation and the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development. The research verifies that the program is effective at both reducing ageism and increasing entrepreneurial mindset.
